Message:
The evacuation area for my department is right near the bus arrival spot so the 4 social studies teachers in the building at 7am were immediately put into bus administration duty. We boarded each bus as it arrived, told the students of the need to move to the stadium, and oversaw the process. Things went smoothly with no issues even though we had buses, senior students in cars, parents dropping off kids, teachers arriving plus the police, fire and ambulance vehicles.

Yankee Stadium Closing Ceremony

I don't have many details yet, but the Montgomery High School Marching Band is playing the National Anthem at the closing ceremony of Yankee Stadium. I can't find anything on the Yankee web site about this, but I did find a date of November 8, 2008 on a fan forum. Rumors suggest the Yankees are trying to get "every living Yankee" and musical acts such as Bruce Springsteen to perform.
